where are the Elsässer variables, V A is the Alfvén velocity, ρ is the plasma density, I is the identity matrix, NL ± are nonlinear dissipation terms and S ± are source terms. NL ± and S ± are modeled separately for outward and inward modes. The model is then based on the following seven coupled turbulence transport equations, one for each of the parameters listed above plus one that describes the transport equation for the solar wind temperature in the super-Alfvénic solar wind.
